Opening September 7th - All the Pink Together: Boom + Hotbox Forever

Linda Geary - All the Pink Together: Boom

Linda Geary scales up her paintings to heroic size and publishes Artist Book

Riffing off a jumbly stack of painted building blocks in her studio that she made and remade into a thousand different piles, Geary produced a new body of paintings that are at once formal experiments and hedonistic adventures. Landscapes, architectural scenes, records of a process, they are a high stakes game to see how far you can push competing colors before they burst the translucent membrane of the painting package. At 90 x 80 inches, they're slouching toward the monumental. At 7 1/2 x 9 1/4 inches her artist book, Studio Visit, is very small but captures the large experience of 100 studio conversations about painting.

And In the Project Room:

Hotbox Forever

Organized by Linda Geary, this exhibition of small scale works brings together a group of painters who are defining abstraction for a new generation.  From Lecia Dole-Recio's material-based puzzles, to Jeffrey Giibson's fetishistic geometries, this show is a challenge to old school avant gardians who contend painting has no future.
